How can I access the videos, notes, questions and quizzes with video explanations?
The new resource for September 2015 is now web based so all you need to do is log into your account with your username and password and all the materials are there.
Is the resource up to date to cover the new A level specification for first teaching 2015?
The AS and 2nd year product are fully up to date to cover the new specification.
There are thousands of videos available on Youtube free, what makes these different?
There are many very good videos out there but the difference with this resource is that it is specifically for the OCR Chemistry A specification and the video lessons cover all the modules. Also, there are a comprehensive set of colourful notes with the resource that link directly to the videos as well as a full set of questions for each of the modules. Everything is designed to fit together and is in one place so you don’t have to waste time searching through the thousands of resources on the web for something that suits your needs. Also, a big difference with this resource is that all the questions contain links to videos that explain how the answer was arrived at and advice on answering similar questions in the exam is given.
Where do the questions come from?
We studied the specification very carefully and looked at past exam papers to see how the objectives from the specification were assessed and we based our questions around these. We have added a hint button so that the more challenging questions can be made accessible to all learners. For each set of questions for each module we have tried to cover as much of the specification as possible without the repetition you often get when doing past exam papers.
What do you mean by video explanations?
In our experience there is nothing more frustrating than seeing an answer to a question in a book or in a mark scheme but having no idea how that answer was arrived at. This can be particularly a problem with questions that require calculations. For such questions we have included a button where you can click straight to a video explanation for that question which also gives you advice about answering similar questions in the exam.
Can I evaluate the resource?
There is a demo unit available to try.
I am a teacher and I think I have some learners that would benefit from this type of resource. Do you do site licences and can we put the videos and questions on our VLE?

Do you plan on making a similar resource for the other A level boards?

How do I gain access to the materials once I have placed my order?
When you have placed your order, your account will be set up within 24 hours and you will be able to access the materials via the main menu when you have logged in using the details you provided on purchase. You will receive an email to let you know when your account has been set up.
